ETHEREALS

The planes of foreign fields
Guide my path
Where I am free to roam
The endless world of thoughts.
As the tips of my fingers
Graze the greens of the earth,
So does my soul
Grasp the essence of my being.
With the moons withdrawal
And the suns proclamation,
The stars never seem
To lose their way.
In my mind
A third eye,
Open to the wonders
Of my predecessors.
Time remains, breathless
Fluid in its motion,
It pays no heed
To us living beneath its wings.
And whence the night doth fall,
So do our ambitions
Cease for the day,
At least for the weary.
I once saw a sparrow,
Delightful little creature.
Its wings sang
With utmost pleasure;
As did its apparel.
Enchanting beauty she was,
Pried from natures lustrous green,
Indeed she sang beautifully.
In those green fields where I lay
Breathtaking dumbfounded
By the scenery painted in the heavens
I beheld true peace.
With a breath so deep,
I felt the life Mother Nature
Offered to me in kind regards,
And my obedience as a sign of trust.
It truly was the first time
I have known pure bliss,
The feeling,
The aura.
I felt my consciousness ascend
To a higher plane
Almost euphoric
In its entirety.
I graced the gates of heaven themselves,
And watched as the stars glimmered
So brazenly enchanting,
Navigating the way to my hearts desires.
I reached a foreign land where
Neither time nor space seemed relevant,
And as my eyes could not help but fixate on
The supreme figures glowing in the distance
They seemed alive, like me,
But more ascended, and majestic
In their existence.
I knew not a conversation
Where we would be properly introduced
Thus I called them “Etherials”
Fashioned by the stars, and the night.
Upon this proclamation
I felt my essence fall deep through space
My returning journey through time;
“A soul bound to a body”
In the blink of an eye
I regained consciousness
Oh delight!
What an experience to behold
I always dream now, of the foreign fields
Where I lay myself into the sublime.
