“DARK KING”

Updated: Oct 8
Do you ever just wonder,
Why the dark thoughts never seem to end?
Why the light always seems to fade away?
Why the suicidal cravings keep overshadowing your will to live,
Why you can’t escape the prison of the dark
Do you ever just sit there,
Befuddled and astounded
Lifeless as your breath slowly stills
As your blood drives away from your heart,
And the thoughts only get senile
Do you ever try,
To look for a glimmer of hope
While you’re being devoured
By eternity’s most unfriendly truth
Withering your soul as you lay conscious
Do you ever just wish
That you could end it all in one go,
Maybe a jump, a shot;
Something to ease the pain;
To make it go away
Do you ever just stop and think
That you’ll be taking the easy way out?
What about the ones you love?
Where do they turn to?
Do you ever just dream
Of selfishness and hate,
Envy and malice,
Evil and despair?
Do you see, you heart; ‘‘tis as black as your lungs”
As you’re filled with burning smoke
Caused by anger and pain burning inside you
Do you feel it now?
Your heart, slowly rotting away
As you can no longer feel the pain they’ve caused
Do you feel it now?
The years of bottled emotions, begin their escape
Do you feel it? I say’
Do you feel the pain coursing through your blood
Becoming one with your mind and soul
Making you a weapon
And now you’re in control:
Of the laughs
The agony
The pain
You no longer cry yourself to sleep
Or weep as you clench your chest and beg “Him” to end it for you
As your heart beat echoes through your lungs
And your body becomes paralyzed
Now, you can tell the pain
When to start and when to stop,
You can stare hell in the face and say “go fuck yourself”
You’ve become your nightmare
You’re no longer the human they want you to be
You’ve got a body but your mind and soul are not of this world
You’ve reached the point where you control them now,
The inferno demons obey you: their master!
Let them know, you’re no longer weak
Let them feel the hate and rage as they ponder
For you do not care for their existence
Show them no mercy or compassion
Let them fear you
Your majesty,
And may your death bring sorrow
To them all: your highness, the “Dark King”.
