TOMORROW

Sometimes we latch onto things;
Ones that never seem to go away.
Feelings, emotions, thoughts,
People, times, and places.
We are reminded each passing day
The uncertainty of the world
We know not the indignant truth
Which tomorrow bears in its bosom;
Yet time, and time again,
We try to protect ourselves from it,
From that harsh unjust truth;
The very ones we need to accept.
Each life is a treasure.
One that another cannot take,
Superseding social essence,
And embracing a supreme aura.
We sometimes do not value this life
And that is okay.
We are allowed our moments of weakness
But never, let it decide who you are.
Hold true to your heart,
And trust that things
Will fall in place,
Lest you fall from your chosen path.
We love,
We embrace,
We care,
We desire.
Steady steady now,
This roller coaster is a hell of a ride.
Hold on tight,
It is the only way you will truly thrive.
Live, laugh, love,
Life's embrace is too short to regret.
Your sorrow enclaves,
But make it your strength.
Tomorrow is never certain,
And truly, neither was today.
There is no telling where this ride
Will take us.
If this be your truth,
Bear your heart on your sleeve,
Live for you,
Live free.
